I finally had a chance to watch the Yammer demo at TC50, the official winner of the 1st place $50,000 prize.  Terrible name, powerful product.  Twitter adapted to enterprise functionality is a great idea, especially for collaborative projects that are separated by distance.  This is something that we should look into as we develop some ideas and being working more closely on them.  They have already created integrated use with Instant Messaging clients, cell phone text message and are currently working on an iPhone App.

Yammer is a tool for making companies and organizations more productive through the exchange of short frequent answers to one simple question: “What are you working on?”

As employees answer that question, a feed is created in one central location enabling co-workers to discuss ideas, post news, ask questions, and share links and other information. Yammer also serves as a company directory in which every employee has a profile and as a knowledge base where past conversations can be easily accessed and referenced.

Anyone in a company can start their Yammer network and begin inviting colleagues. The privacy of each network is ensured by limiting access to those with a valid company email address. The basic Yammer service is free. Companies can pay to claim and administer their networks.

Our Calendar is now online.  Click the link at the top to access it.  It can be viewed on by week, month or agenda list.  To edit the calendar, log into your ideaFLiTE email account at mail.ideaflite.com and click on the calendar link.  All changes will instantly be refected on the website.  Let me know if you have any questions.

TIP: When you log into your mail account, click the “remember me” box and save the password with your browser.  Then in the future you can easily edit existing calendar items by clicking on an event and then on “more details” and it will automatically let you edit the calendar.  From that screen you can click on Google Calendar in the top left to add new items to the calendar.

Also, if you get an iPhone in the future, you can set up real time Syncing so that any changes made to Google Calendar online will reflect in your phone calendar instantly and vise versa.

9/4 UPDATE: Also, just so you know — your web browser views your Google Mail Account (ambition.tat) and ideaFLiTE Mail as 2 seperate entities (even though they are both powered by Google) so you can be logged in to both at the same time and no issues will be caused.
